You were like my shadow

following me to everywhere

even I left my shadow

you kept following me with no fear

you were on top, bottom, and side

you made me crazy

you are in front and behind

you drove me insane

but where are you when the sun stops shining

where are you when the earth stops rotating?

where are you when this heart stops beating?

where are you when this brain stops thinking?

You are nowhere

I can’t find you anywhere

You might be with someone somewhere

be another one and been my nightmare

Could somebody check my pulse to see that I am alive?

cause i don’t see the angels do the same mission they did

they apparently take an odd job demons have

I long for my demons back to meet my need

you, save me from drowning

you are best in swimming

I will stop murmuring

without you I am not breathing

Dari mishbakh untuk misykakh

 

sesungguhnya aku mau bilang begitu, 
ya itu tadi yang aku sampaikan bersama gelombang masa lalu, 
tapi aku malu, 
aku takut Dia terang-terangan pergi lalu 
melemparkan benih kebencian dikedalaman jiwaku, 
aku khawatir Dia akan menolak dengan tegas
pintaku untuk melindungi akalku, 
aku benar-benar tak sanggup 
jika pada akhirnya Dia pun menghindari tatapan lurus 
yang selalu diusahakan tulus
dari ruang hatiku. 

Aku bahkan takut kalau Dia tahu, 

ya walaupun aku tahu Dia pasti sudah tahu. 
Setidaknya aku masih merasa bahwa 
Dia bertahan untuk pura-pura tidak tahu. 
Lalu, lebih baik aku melarikan diri menuju diam 
dengan kecepatan halilintar berkekuatan membelah bulan. 

Oh bukan, aku hanya lari 
bukan melakukan pelarian, 
ini bukan pelampiasan. 
Inilah ijtihad atas keadilan. 
Pengaruh karakter diri 
terhadap alam yang dikandung badan. 
Jangan menganggap ini sebagai muatan rasa tertekan, 
pengucilan, pengasingan, atau sebagainya yang 
mendamba sebuah kebebasan.

Ini hanyalah potongan lagu malam
tentang rasa sesal yang tenggelam
dan disembunyikan dibalik diam
oleh diam, dan untuk diam

Much talking was a sin

That’s why you kept words in

Took them to the nest

That no body could arrest

Any word came out of your mouth

Was just like a blast of cold wind

Blowing from north to the south

Going back and forth to examine

Words always brought in pain

Like enigma that got me insane

Listening to your silence was the cure

The best medicine and pure

Did you know that silence was the true romance?

Its power could even break through the distance

Thanks for ever holding my hand

Though it happened by accident

You’d been the vital part of my madness

Reflected by seeing my darkness

When skins unconditionally collided

It felt like I just experienced the sudden death

My mouth opened without words

You caused my tongue mute

Yo I was so speechless and breathless

Voices numb and I acted like a dumb

I felt the earth stopped rotating

No more gravity was working

My nerves lost its power to transmit the impulse

My mastermind wasn’t able to distinguish which true and false

But I didn’t want to figure it out

I just want to scream aloud

That was more than a lot

A moment I never forgot

When your hand became a savior

Though my night never became easier

And it rose a quiet that kept me going

The effect of the most soothing heroine

You were my naration

Cause I couldn’t tell love in description

I knew your label was silence

And you named it as quiet

I found I fell for your code

I liked the way you built a cipher

And it pushed me away to inspect

I was urged to watch your whim

I walked alongside you like the wind

Crossing your mind and whirling

Like a dervishes dancing

Breezed in to your heart

Broke down your feelings into smaller

Tried to get something sincere

But then got stuck in your innermost

Some place I was most scared of

So I was begging for no staring

You were watching me like a hawk

Gazing me back and smiling

No! you knew I was the dusk

You’d apparently discovered

As a backfire I ran tumbling

Now the cryptographer just disappeared

Heart’s language was far beyond imagination

Much more knotty than notion

An attempt to decode just being illogical

It would capture merely deception

No, I wouldn’t go into you farther

I couldn’t handle, no longer

I’d just leave it hanging

Just let it go and knock about

Let it breathe in and spin

Till the coming apocalypse

Save it camouflage

The Effect of Blog-Mediated Work Posting on Students' Motivation in Learning Writing

THE EFFECT OF POSTING STUDENTS’ WRITING WORK ON SOCIAL MEDIA ‘WEBLOGS’

ON STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION IN LEARNING WRITING

Abstract The goal of this study was to investigate the effect of posting students’ writing work on Social Media ‘Weblogs’ towards students’ learning motivation in writing English in the Writing 4 Classes of College of Languages of Sultan Agung Islamic University Semarang in the even semester of 2014 - 2015.

This study used a descriptive qualitative research design. The subject of this study was the students of the writing 4 classes of English Education Program in the even semester of 2014 - 2015. Thus, there were 37 respondents who participated in this research. Both close and open questionnaire and interview were employed as research instruments to obtain data related to the research needs. Afterwards, the data obtained from the close questionnaire was first analysed using of SPSS 21 software application.

Then, the result showed that blog-based learning could attract the students’ Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction (ARCS) in the Writing 4 Class. The findings from open questionnaire and interview also revealed that there were positive effects of  using blog-mediated learning dealing with posting students’ writing work on Weblogs Colasula.com on students’ motivation in learning writing. The students were encouraged to learn better writing.

From the description above, it could be inferred that the respondents had positive perception towards the role of weblogs Colasula.com in the process of teaching and learning writing.
